HELLO EVERYONE! THIS IS CARMEN ^v^
First of all, please excuse me for my bad English and worse spelling... and now, for all the Prince of Tennis fans around
[link] AREN´T THEY CUTE!

Well enough POT fangirlism for now, let´s go with the Three Kingdoms fangirlism now XDDD KOEI EUROPE GUYS ARE SO CRAZY and I love them XD look at this!
[link] you can´t say they aren´t making great effors to share the Dynasty Warriors love with the fans!!! KOEI London MCM Expo (May 2009) Stand with Wei´s throne and all... YOU LUCKY UK PEOPLE, I AM SO JEALOUS (again) XD
Well yeah, I am finished with the fangirlism, this time for real lol and now let´s go with the real matter... tell me about the later Han Dynasty and the Era of the Three Kingdoms, please!

If you are Chinese, or if you are pretty sure about some cultural facts about the later Han Dynasty and the Era of the Three Kingdoms that I want to know better, or if you can provide any links or photos to answer my questions, that would be great! ´cos I need more info t help me in the projects I am working on ^v^ Also, if you could recommend me some animes, movies and dorama about the Han Dynasty or the Three Kingdoms, that would really help with my investigation! I need help ´cos I have done, more or less, all the possible research with the little free time I usually have and for someone not Chinese or even Asian with my level of japanese and chinese lol
Ok, I don´t know where to start so I am just going to go a little random with it XD. And please remember, I´m focusing all this investigation in the later Han Dynasty and the Era of the Three Kingdoms ^v^
1. I wanna know more about the later Han clothes, specially about children clothes (in fact, it is kind of easy doing some research about adults clothes, but I can´t find anything about the children!). I am not only talking about the traditional clothes that look somehow like a kimono (sorry I don´t know how do you call it in Chinese but I would like to know ^^) I am talking about other kinds of clothes too, such as bathing or sleeping clothes, dancers or musicians, soldiers, doctors, etc.
2. I would like to know what food they used to eat... I just know they loved Baozi, Wine, Tea, Peaches and something called Din Sum XDDD What other fruit do you traditionaly eat in China, for example?
3. I would like to know about trees, flowers and animals... for example, what races of horses, wolves, tigers, dogs and cats could you see in the era of the Three Kingdoms? What trees and flowers are the most common over there? That kind of stuff XD
4. I want to know more about daily stuff such as: where do you sit for lunch , what kind of beds do you use, how it looks a Han bathroom...
5. Fighting styles and places to study martial arts. Training for war. Such things. I also want to know more about famous War Horses... right know the ones I know are:
-RED HARE ("Chituma") Lu Bu´s famous horse and owned by Guan Yu after his death
-HEX MARK ("Dilu") Liu Bei´s white horse and said to bring its master ill fortune
-SHADOW RUNNER ("Jueying"?) and GRAY LIGHTING ("Zhuahuang Feidian"?) who are two of the most famous warhorses used by Cao Cao, if I am correct.
-FIRESTAR ("Dawanma"?) owned by Wan Shuang (onw of Cao Riu officers)
-STORM RUNNER (Jue-something???) who I believe it´s Sun Jian´s horse, though I think that is the fictional name given to his warhorse for the DW games XD I am looking for Ma Chao´s horse, pretty famous too, but hell, I can´t find anything about it!!!
6. I would like to know about famous Doctors of the Three Kingdoms ^v^ the only one I know about is Hua Tuo (also known as Yuanhua)
7. I want to know about... BOARDGAMES!!! XDDD rbut emember, boardgames from the Han Dynasty days ^^
8. Can´t think of more stuff XDDD but you can always add any interesting info you think it could be useful!!!
THANK YOU A WHOLE LOT and, if this goes well, I assure you I will make good use of all this information ^v^ Plus, I am pretty sure tons of fans would love to have this info too!

Devious Comments
Oh! Cosplay! I'm going to Anime Expo this year as Diao Chan (even though I'm not a big fan of her...), my friend is going as Lu Xun, my other friend is going as Zhang He, and my other friend is going as Cao Pi.
There really is a lot to tell about Chinese history, and it can't all be shown over DA chat! Gosh, but I love it when people are interested!!!
They didn't use chairs, for one thing, but they used mats.
Red Hare was NEVER owned by Guan Yu in reality. I don't think Hex Mark was real either.
There's a great forum [link] where you can talk about the Three Kingdoms history and culture!
Most of the questions are hard to answer because you didn't specify a specific area of China. Wildlife alone is so spread out, and the environments are so different from north to south to east to west that it's hard to explain.
...Well, cuisine in Wu is basically what I normally eat for dinner. XD One dish you might not know about is "steamed egg." I'm not sure what kind they ate back then, but the kind I normally eat looks way different from Google search.
Once again, China's a huge country, so there are many differences from region to region. What I say is just what I know, and probably there are variations and the such.
Children's clothes had a flap in the butt so that they did not need to be undressed to go the bathroom.
Peasant clothes were normally made of hemp. Silk, obviously, was expensive. Working people could have worn trouser-like bottoms with a jacket-like top. Generally, men and women clothes followed along the same guidelines- there wasn't really a huge gender difference in clothing like you see in a lot of Western cultures.
Horses were Ferghana horses. Have you heard of the famous Dancing Horses? They were popular during the Han Dynasty, I think, and were trained to perform to music and drums. This was a big problem when they were recruited to the army.
Doctors of the Three Kingdoms? I don't really know. That famous physician actually died long before he could have treated Guan Yu, but they put him there in the novel anyways. *Shrug* It's just important to know about pharmacies and medicines. Sometimes people just made their own medicine, especially outside big cities.
Useful stuff: You can just look on the internet or in your library.
I am glad you are interested in Chinese history!!
Oh well I'm half Chinese and my family decided to raise me with Chinese traditions and stuff if that helps xD [I'm related to Liu Bei too :'D]
Ummm well try watching the old San Guo TV series! :'D And then there's also the series about Zilong, and then the movie Chi Bi [Red Cliff], if you haven't already. Haha they seem to be the best source for most of your info
Dim Sum is typically steamed food, like meat buns, rice noodles, steamed dumplings, etc. xD
Try this wikipedia article? [link]
Hehe I just had dim sum for breakfast. xD
Andddd for your other info, a lot can be answered in the above series, I guess xD I mean it may not all be historically correct, but I suppose it could give you a sense of what life was like back then.
There should be many websites out there that could help you I guess. xD Sorry if I wasn't very helpful!

baozi are also known as steamed buns. they are 'balls of flour' with fillings in them~ dim sum would be an assortements of different type of food, i dunno if it is right but it is kind of like finger food?
food they used to eat... emm, rice is a very impt(?) staple food in chinese crusine. of course if you are talking about commoner's food, a dinner meal would usually include rice, a plate of veggie, fish/meat and soup( can be boiled with a variety of things from meat, fishes, veggies, etc). Of course, for the royals, they have such food too but it would include more "expensive/rare" stuff? Like a different species of fish or more expensive meat?
o.o i am not sure if i am giving u the right kind of information that you need cox i am basing it on my daily life >.< but i am a chinese so, i guess it should be correct ><;; drop me a note if u need more information or translation of chinese site <3 will be glad to help joo~~-huggles-
